Things You Should Know
The RON Process
Gather the documents you need to have notarized; ensure that the documents are in a digital format, e.g., PDF, for electronic signing. You’ll also need a device with a camera and microphone, such as a computer, tablet or smartphone, along with a reliable internet connection.
You will receive a link to our video session. Save this link and click on it before your scheduled appointment time.
Once your identity is confirmed, and you’re communicating both visually and verbally with us, you will be asked to electronically sign the document(s) using our RON platform’s digital signature feature. We will observe the signing process through the video conference.
Following completion of the notarization process, you’ll receive a digital copy of the notarized document(s) via the RON platform.
After logging into the video session, you will be asked to present a government issued identification document, such as a driver license or passport; you will also be asked to correctly answer a series of questions. Upon successfully completing the document verification and correctly answering the questions, you’ll then enter the video conference room.
After you have signed the document(s), we will apply our electronic notary seal and signature to the document(s) using the RON platform’s tools. This step confirms that the document(s) has/have been notarized.
A secure digital recording of the entire notarization session, including video and audio recordings and transactions logs, is stored by the RON service provider. This ensures compliance with legal requirements and provides a record of the notarial act for future reference.
