A Notary Public, must determine, from personal knowledge or satisfactory evidence, that the individual appearing before the Notary has the identity claimed.

Personal Knowledge: A Notary Public has personal knowledge of the identity of an individual appearing before the Notary if the individual is personally known to the Notary through dealings sufficient to provide reasonable certainty that the individual has the identity claimed.

Satisfactory Evidence: A Notary Public has satisfactory evidence of the identity of an individual appearing before the Notary if the Notary can identify the individual by means of:

(a) A passport, driver’s license, or government-issued nondriver identification card, which is current or expired not more than three years before performance of the notarial act; or

(b) Another form of government identification issued to an individual, which is current or expired not more than three years before performance of the notarial act, contains the signature or a photograph of the individual, and is satisfactory to the officer; or

(c) By a verification on oath or affirmation of a credible witness personally appearing before the Notary and personally known to the Notary and who provides satisfactory evidence of his or her identity as described in (a) of this subsection.

Yes we do! Experience the convenience of notarizing your documents remotely with our remote online notary (RON) services. Fees for RON start at $25. Pricing may vary depending on the number of documents and additional signers. Contact us to book your RON appointment.

The State of Washington establishes our notary fees, as follows:

The maximum fee a Notary may charge for a notarial act is $15.00 plus. A Notary may charge a travel fee when traveling to perform a notarial act if the parties agree upon the travel fee in advance of the travel and that the travel fee is in addition to the notarial fee.

For each RON notary stamp, the fee is $25.00.

A Notary Signing Agent (NSA) guides signers through real estate signings prior to a loan closing, transfer of property or change in vesting. The National Notary Association has certified me as a “Certified Notary Signing Agent.”

Perhaps. If an Acknowledgment is needed, the signer can appear before the notary after the fact, show their valid ID and attest that they signed that document. Then the document can be notarized. However, if an oath or affirmation must be administered (also called a “Jurat”), then the you must appear in person to sign the document in front of the notary.
